I loved this one, Akasha, and I was delighted and somewhat surprised by your choices of painters. I love Girl With Pearl Earring too. Have you read the book about her? It’s called “Girl in Hyacinth Blue” by Susan Vreeland. You might enjoy it. Have you seen the paintings of Artemisia Genteleschi? Her “Judith and the Death of Holofernes” hangs in the Pitti Palace in Florence and is astonishing in its violence and strength. Judith is certainly not portrayed as some wilting English rose!! 🙂 I think that work might speak to you too. This was a really lovely piece, well read and delivered. I could hear you talking to me, which is always a welcome treat.

Thank you! I love that beauty was the antidote for the pain and anxiety you were feeling that morning. And such a diversity of beauty!
