164. Strange Pulls

As in Rumi’s words “Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray.” I can attest that my strange pulls have lead me through various phases in life, each with their own unique joys and lessons. In this episode, I reflect on the shifts in my passions and how they have shaped my path towards comfort, spirituality, and fulfillment.

Now That You Ask is a podcast that looks at topics that range from death to desire, and from wondrous to downright whacky. Join host, Akasha Halsey as she takes listeners on a journey through her writing and experience with life’s most persistent questions.

Sitting here writing the same paragraph for the last four hours, I got your notification and thought “hmmm, just what I need, a little Akasha time.” And that was, in fact, just what I needed, my dear. You never fail to bring a big-ass smile to my face. I also share many of your obsessions–not the shoes, but that’s just a metaphor, but definitely, handmade ceramic, Ottoman prints, and medieval Sicilian history books. Thank you for gently lifting me outside that dreadful paragraph. Now dried off, I’m ready to dive back in. Big hug, my friend.
