What does in mean to live “in the present moment?” To answer this I draw inspiration from poets, sages, and spiritual teachers. Listen in as I discuss the significance of being present, the challenges it poses, and how it has influenced my own life. I truly believe seizing the day, embracing simplicity, and being where you are is the best way to find inspiration and gratitude and I hope this episode inspires you, too.

Yes, yes to Ram Dass. Simply perfect
Hi Akasha,
Enjoyed this episode a great deal. Though I value Buddhism and philosophy that espouse “be here now”, it doesn’t play much of a part in the way I approach life. I do, however, frequently feel elated, joyous and deeply grateful to be alive. I experience that sweet truth in mind, body and soul.

This is such a beautiful piece, Akasha. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and all those wonderful quotes on the subject of “living in the moment” — a concept I have a very difficult time actually following. It’s one of those ideas I WANT to do, but, man, I get so distracted I can go for weeks before the thought comes back to me and I say “well, darn! I forgot about that.” Yours is a beautiful reminder to “look at your feet; be there!” Love you, my friend.
