216. Stand In Your Power

In the world of self-discovery and storytelling, stepping into one's power means embracing the ability to narrate personal tales with courage and authenticity. I am currently writing my memoir and let me tell you it has been as enlightening as it is daunting and the prospect of sharing these narratives with others is both exhilarating and intimidating. I hope my journey reminds us that our stories, each with a unique voice, hold the power to bridge understanding and inspire others to step into their own power.

From the emotional weight of walking away to the unfamiliar terrain of waiting and trusting, I am interested in the spiritual and practical challenges of embracing the unknown. 214. Sweet Nancy

In the tapestry of life, pets often become the threads that weave our moments of joy and comfort. This is a story of Sweet Nancy, a beloved feline companion who, along with her brother Sid, became an integral part of my life 18 years ago. Though they claimed their territories within my home with Sid being the social butterfly and Nancy preferring the solitude of a back bedroom sanctuary. They both left indelible paw prints on my heart. Nancy's cunning ways, like her clever escape from Sid's playful pursuits, showcased her unique personality, which gradually softened over time as she recognized me as a source of love and care. Our nightly routines and conversations became a cherished part of my day, with her curling up next to me as I recounted my daily experiences, always ending with a loving affirmation of her beauty. In her later years, she faced challenges that led to difficult decisions, and while the journey was heart-wrenching, I found solace in knowing her playful spirit and unyielding love will remain with me always. Today, I honor Sweet Nancy with a special altar, keeping her memory bright in my home and heart, until I'm ready to bid a final farewell and cherish all the love she shared with me.

213. The Art of Conversation

The art of conversation thrives on the luxury of time, allowing insights and revelations to gracefully unfold. It's about moving beyond surface-level exchanges, or mere cocktail talk, and embracing deeper connections that reveal who someone truly is and what lights them up. Not every exchange leads to lifelong friendship, and that's okay. The goal is to find those rare moments when both parties feel illuminated by the conversation. As we navigate our busy lives, I hope we remain open to embracing the unexpected in our conversations, as they hold the potential for the most rewarding discoveries.

212. Patience

Patience has never come naturally to me, but life has taught me its necessity through unexpected events, like heartbreak and loss. Often feeling like a stranger to myself, I've realized that slowing down and embracing patience allows me to find gratitude in simple pleasures, like a cool breeze or ice cream, leading to a sense of peace. Patience remains a vital lesson, even when timelines are elusive. While I've abandoned the notion of being naturally patient, I celebrate the small victories in patience I achieve, constantly reminding myself that I am progressing. Join me in embracing patience, one step at a time, and celebrate the small successes we encounter along the way. Thank you, patience.

I have a deep love for jewelry. Certain pieces speak to me in ways I can’t fully explain . Their energy, craftsmanship, and beauty resonate with something deep inside me. Over the years, I’ve collected pieces that felt like they were meant for me, even redesigning some to better fit my current lifestyle. Some pieces were inherited, others discovered unexpectedly, but all hold deep meaning. My jewelry isn’t just decoration to me – it’s part of me. It brings me joy, sparks curiosity, and reminds me that light really does attract light.
